Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data this site collects, why, how long it is kept, and how you can have it deleted. It is written to comply with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Last updated: 29 August 2026

Who this policy covers

This policy applies to this website, operated by Mohan Foundation, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Under the DPDP Act we are the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described below, and you are the Data Principal.

What we collect

  • What you send us through the contact form: your name, phone number, and the message you write.
  • What you send us on WhatsApp: your message and the phone number you send it from. WhatsApp is operated by a third party under its own privacy terms, which we do not control.
  • Basic usage analytics, if and when analytics are enabled on this site — pages viewed, approximate region, device type. No analytics tools are active on this site at present.

We do not ask for and do not want medical reports, identity numbers, financial details, or other sensitive information. Please do not send them.

Why we collect it, and on what basis

We process the details you send solely to respond to your enquiry. The legal basis is your consent, given by ticking the consent box before submitting the form or by choosing to message us. You may withdraw that consent at any time.

We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not share it with hospitals, clinicians, or any third party for their own purposes.

How long we keep it

Enquiry data is kept only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you follow up. When it is no longer needed, or when you ask us to delete it, it is erased.

Your rights under the DPDP Act

  • To ask what personal data of yours we hold.
  • To have inaccurate data corrected or completed.
  • To have your data erased.
  • To withdraw consent at any time, as easily as you gave it.
  • To nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf.
  • To have a grievance addressed.

Use our data deletion and access request page to exercise any of these. You can also raise any request through the WhatsApp channel linked on this site.

Grievance contact

We have not yet published a named grievance officer or a dedicated contact address, because we publish contact details only once they are verified — an unmonitored address on a rights page would be worse than none. Until that is in place, send any privacy request through the WhatsApp channel on this site or the contact form, and we will act on it.

Security

This site is served over HTTPS. We keep the data we hold to the minimum needed and restrict access to it. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed completely secure, which is another reason not to send sensitive documents through this site.

Children

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, the updated date at the top of this page will change. Where the change affects how we use data you have already given us, we will seek fresh consent.
