About Mohan Foundation
Mohan Foundation works in kidney health and organ donation awareness, based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. This site exists to help patients and families understand chronic kidney disease and the decisions that follow a diagnosis — what test results mean, how dialysis and transplantation differ, what government schemes cover, and how organ donation works under Indian law.
What we do
We explain. Most people meet kidney disease through a report they cannot read, in a consultation that was too short, at a moment when they were too frightened to ask the follow-up question. The gap that leaves is the one this site tries to close.

What we do not do
Being clear about this matters more than being comprehensive, so we state it plainly.
- We do not diagnose or treat. Nothing on this site is a substitute for a doctor who has examined you and read your reports.
- We do not arrange donors or transplants. Any organisation offering to find you an organ is describing a criminal offence under Indian law.
- We never discuss a price for an organ. Not as an estimate, not as a comparison, not in any form. Commercial dealing in organs is prohibited, and so is discussing it as if it were an option.
- We do not recommend specific hospitals or doctors in exchange for any arrangement, and we do not accept payment for referrals.
How we write
Clinical statements here follow published guidance — principally KDIGO for kidney disease management, NOTTO for the national transplantation framework, and the Tamil Nadu transplant authority for state process. Where we cite something we name it, so you can read the source yourself rather than taking our word for it.
Where evidence is uncertain or where a decision genuinely depends on an individual's circumstances, we say so rather than manufacturing a confident answer. Our editorial and medical review policy sets out the process in full, including what is still being put in place.

We are based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Our full postal address and telephone details are not published on this site yet — we publish contact information only once it has been verified, because a wrong number on a medical site sends a frightened family to a stranger.
